Blizzard Blog Hop

Apparently, there is a wonderful blogger's conference going on right now in Nashville called the Blissdom Conference. In lieu of hopping on a plane to Nashville, Household 6 Diva is hosting the "Blizzard Blog Hop!" This is a way for those of us who enjoy blogging to "meet and greet" and discover other great blogs. (It has a truly fitting name by the way, as I spent my morning helping Husband shovel the driveway!) If you're interested, the event begins began at 12 noon Thursday, January 27th until 12 midnight on Sunday, January 30th. Part of the "meet and greet" is to introduce ourselves to new readers, so here we go!!!
***************************************************
I am a daughter of the Most-High God and am blessed to have Jesus Christ as my Savior. . .

I've been married almost 10 years to Husband (as I affectionately call him). . .

We have 3 sweet children, daughters SJ (7yrs) and TM (5yrs) and one son, JR (3yrs). . .

I am in a season in my life in which I am learning to Biblically embrace all things at home. . .

We are not a homeschooling family as of yet, but that will change in the very near future. . .

. . .any tips/advice on homeschooling you'd like to share? I'm ALL EARS! :)

I love my family dearly and want to be found in God's will in the ways I care for them. This blog is a place for love, encouragement, and inspiration. Here is where I share the pages of my life, my hopes and goals, my questions and ponderings, my joys and my struggles. I hope you are blessed by something you found here and that you will visit again!

  5. Nice to meet you! I was homeschooled as a young girl and really enjoyed it. I won't be homeschooling my children unless the funds fall short to send them to the Christian private school (I love that place!)

My tip - make everything a learning experience and have fun. I think I learned more in a relaxed atmosphere than I did when my mom was stressing out about things :)

  8. What a great post. I love the photos! (And, after reading your other post about your hair I have to say you are spot on. Gorgeous. Love it! :) Welcome to the wacky world of homeschooling, girl! So much to share... First tip though - always have fun. Don't take it too seriously. You can't break them. God has a plan for them, and we can't stop that train. Enjoy every moment of that ride, and on those days where worry creeps in just focus on the fun. It took me years to learn this, but I am so glad that I did!

  9. Steph,

Thanks so much for the compliments. (I might be blushing over here!)

Thanks for the advice on homeschooling. Great reminder to me that God is in control, no matter what. I may shoot a question or two about schooling your way, if you don't mind.

  23. As someone who has never been to a "real" school (homeschooled from k-12 and completed my post secondary education via Distance Ed), you're kids are going to grow up and thank you. There are six of us and my mom poured her heart into teaching her children, for which we are all so very grateful! There are definitely challenges but nothing compares to kind of family unity we're experiencing as a result.

  24. Happy Little Homemaker,

Thank you very much for your comment. You speak very well of your mother and that is a great blessing. We are already a close-knit family and are excited about the ways homeschooling will bring us closer. Take care.
