Remember the Prince of Peace: Week 1--Peace on Earth Challenge

Surprise, surprise!! No Idle Bread is participating in yet, another challenge! This will be a weekly challenge called "Peace on Earth" for the month of December, hosted by Courtney at WomenLivingWell.

Again we will focus on peace. Each week, we'll have a few tips (spiritually and practically) to implement peace in our homes.
So, for this week our first task is to write at the top of your calendar or planner the following verse:

"Cast all your anxiety on Him
because He cares for you." -I Peter 5:7

As we know, for some, the Christmas season can bring a lot of busyness and hosting and shopping and planning and stressing!! But, only if we allow it to be that way. Each time we see this verse, we can remember to pray and release all cares, worries, troubles and other stresses to the Lord who is waiting to take it all from us. I will also be writing this verse on the Scripture memory board in the kithen. Since I'm in there so much, it will be easy for me to see.

Our 2nd task is to get a large candle and light it each day for the month. Any time the glimmer of candlelight catches your eye, remember to say a prayer of peace for your home. We did this during a Fall Challenge and believe it or not, it really helped me--a visual reminder to remain peaceful. My candle will be on my kitchen table for all to see and for all to be reminded!

Prayerfully through this challenge, we can remember to rest, relax, lean and depend on Jesus. Intentionally reconnecting with the Prince of Peace.
