Growing Again

Happy New Year, ladies!

My family and I have some sweet news to share. . . .

Once again, I am thankful that God has graced my womb with life. . .eight times. . .
My heart swells with gratitude over and over . . .
It is humbling, overwhelming, shocking, and joyous at the same time. . .
God is good like that.

I never, ever imagined that I would be a mom to a little brood of children. I never thought my husband and I would say things like:
"Two large pizzas won't feed the family!" or "A 7-seater isn't gonna cut it!" or "We pretty much need an entire pew at church!"
{{Large family problems, right? LOL}}
My husband says it all the time, "God's way is perfect." He's right and I'm so glad that God knows what's best.
"Through wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established;
By knowledge the rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches."
-Proverbs 24:3-4
Being a wife and mother has molded me, shaped me, matured me, and stretched me several times over, in so many areas of life. It has sent me chasing hard after God, because it has shown me just how much I need Him, and how little I'm sure of in my own strength. God is faithful, and He's not through with me yet, as I continue to learn of Him and grow in Him.

So, I just want to take a bit of blog space to give God the praise for the things He has done.

Lord-willing, Baby Girl will be joining the family sometime in May 2016.

  8. How very exciting! Our 4th was due on May 5th, and for some reason I was totally set of having a MAY baby, but she came a week early and was born in April! Ha, ha! It seriously took me a couple of years to get that straight in my head.

    A huge congratulations to you and your family!! What a wonderful blessing. I love all those statements that you didn't think you would ever say. After having a 15 passenger van for the past 10 years, and it's about to die, we have been looking into another vehicle. With some of my children getting older I don't drive with everyone now a days. I told my husband that we should downgrade to a regular mini van, but he can't seem to get over that and still wants a 15 passenger :-) Such problems :-)

    How exciting to be expecting. Enjoy this time.

    Blessings,
    Kerri

    1. Hi, Kerri,
      Too funny about your 15 passenger, lol. How many children do you have? We are trying to figure out what to do with the vehicle situation. Our largest van is 9 passengers, which means we're at the max!

      Thanks for such sweet encouragement. Take care!
