Growing Home: Why I'm Not Cut Out To Be A Homeschool Mom

Growing Home is hosting "31 Days of Encouragement for Homeschooling Mothers." This article is a great read. It pretty much sums up what runs through my head any time someone gives me "kudos" for homeschooling my children, then proceeds to tell me why they can't homeschool their own.

Homeschooling mothers aren't "super" women. We have plenty of short-comings, we get stressed out too, we feel like we "just can't take it anymore." The ONLY difference is that we've chosen to make this schooling thing at home a priority and we're just "wild" enough to BELIEVE that GOD will give us GRACE. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

  1. Hurray for grace and mommas who are willing to clean off the dining room table for books, pencils, maps and science projects:)
Enjoy this time. My 14 years of homescooling went WAY to fast! Sometimes my alone time would be in the closet :)
    Have a good week!

  2. Hey Kristin!

Grace is absolutely the key!! Sometimes, my alone time is in the laundry room . . .right off of the kitchen where my kids are waiting for me :) I think it's worth it though. . .like you said, it goes by too quickly!!

You have a great week as well!
