Two Blogs No Longer

Well, after some thought,  it is clear that having a homeschool blog is too much to handle right now. Trying to maintain 2 blogs, being new to homeschooling, new baby, 4 children now, lovely husband, housework. . .you get the idea. . .it just isn't fitting in my life right now.

I don't know if the Lord will redirect me later about a separate blog for homeschooling, but for now our homeschool blog will be inactive (effective Feb. 1st). I'll blog about my homeschooling adventures here instead. I am quickly learning what many homeschooling mothers have expressed:

Homeschooling is not something "separate" that goes on in the life of those who do it; rather, it becomes a way of life, for every moment is one in which learning can take place.

It seems more natural for me to blog about all of what goes on in my life right here, including homeschooling. Right here is where my journey began. . . "No Idle Bread". . .the name the Lord impressed upon my heart way before I knew what blogging was all about. . .way before I knew how many women I could identify with on this blessed journey of being a Christian wife and mother.

With that being said, I really want to thank those of you who went over to my homeschool blog to read my posts, to "follow" me and to pick up my blog button. It means quite a lot and I am grateful. Please keep praying for our family as we continue in our first year of homeschooling. I am glad to have your support and encouragement. Sincerely, I THANK YOU!!!

***Brace yourselves for homeschooling posts from the past that'll be incorporated here.***

  1. Keeping-up with more than one blog at a time can truly be time consuming, which is why I am presently sticking with just one. I'm sure your dedicated readers will be delighted to read about your homeschooling journeys right here at "No Idle Bread." :)

    Blessings!

  3. I've been considering doing the same thing. I have 2 blogs as well... I just wasn't sure I wanted to combine them, but am now realizing it would be much easier.

How are you going to incorporate your other blog? Just out of curiosity. I'm unsure how to do that myself. lol

  5. Hey Bekah,

Two blogs doesn't fit in for me right now.

As for my plan...I'm not 100% sure just yet. I'm going to start by moving (cut & paste) my homeschool posts over here; there aren't too many to move. I'm thinking of using "a page" for our curriculum/approach to schooling. We'll see! I'm a work in progress: a 1st generation blogger and 1st generation homeschooler! :o)
