My Man

Today, I am thankful for my Husband. . .
a wonderful man.

I know that I mentioned him before as part of the family of which I'm thankful for. But I just think that he deserves his own page.

Husband is my college sweetheart. Even way back then, he showed me new things: financial responsibility, athletic discipline and determination, and many, many, many riddles! (He loves to stump us and tell a good joke!)

Along our journey as husband and wife, he has inspired me and encouraged me. Husband has shown our family a wonderful example of hard work and dedication. He lovingly guides me and the kids. He provides, he protects, he perseveres, he plays. . .with us! He really has the best interests for us as a family.

Above all, Husband is a man of faith. He trusts God in a way that is awesome to me. No, really. Sometimes, his angle on things, his take on the situation, and how he believes God right in the midst of it. . . leaves me speechless. I am humbled by his wisdom and discernment.

With all these wonderful qualities, Husband will be the first to tell you, he is not perfect, he is quite aware that he is flawed, and he knows there are things he needs to work on. He knows that he can't make it or do his best without the Lord. That is perhaps one of the reasons I love him most.

I am thankful for him--my Husband, my children's father, my man! God has certainly blessed me with him. I am honored to be his wife and grateful to be under his leadership. {I love you, Husband!}

Thank God for my Husband.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.  -Ephesians 5:25-28

  2. I'm so glad you found your true love, and that he is such a good man. I have loved reading he posts that praise husbands. So many women tear their men down and make them seem foolish. I really don't like that.
